New Bovalta™ BMR Corn Silage Delivers on Performance and Profit Potential
Corteva Agriscience Debuts High-Fiber, High-Performance Silage Hybrids

INDIANAPOLIS, June 9, 2022 — Corteva Agriscience today announced the introduction of Bovalta™ BMR (brown midrib) corn silage, its newest silage product designed to meet the highest standards for yield and milk production, ensuring producers have every opportunity to take their operations to the next level.

Corteva’s new Bovalta BMR hybrids provide the highest levels of fiber digestibility and increased starch content compared to non-BMR corn silage hybrids1 – helping farmers reduce supplemental feed costs and improve dry matter intake. Developed with Corteva’s industry-leading corn genetics and breeding programs, Bovalta BMR hybrids help deliver new levels of performance, agronomics and profit for producers.

“The launch of Bovalta BMR hybrids reflect Corteva’s commitment to serving dairy producers with the innovative products they need to effectively and efficiently feed their herds and help grow their operations,” said Judd O’Connor, President, U.S. Commercial, Corteva Agriscience. “Drawing on Corteva’s leading R&D, these new hybrids offer a combination of outstanding genetics and agronomics from Corteva as expected from leaders in the high value corn silage market.”

Bovalta BMR hybrids undergo extensive testing in a range of environmental conditions and demonstrate outstanding performance in:

  • Yield and tonnage
  • Pest and disease resistance
  • Plant and root health
  • Emergence, standability and vigor
  • Drought tolerance

The nutritional value of the hybrids benefits more than just the herd. Bovalta BMR hybrids are designed to help boost a farmer’s return on investment as well.

“Bovalta can impact your dairy business in a multitude of ways,” O’Connor said. “Increased digestibility and tonnage can lower input costs, and more efficient digestion can increase milk yield potential. This can mean maximizing profit potential for dairy producers.”

New Bovalta BMR hybrids are available for the 2023 growing season. For more information, contact your local Dairyland, Brevant® seeds or Pioneer sales professional.
