In the pursuit of agricultural excellence, Brevant® seeds has consistently prioritized key characteristics that ensure optimal crop performance from the moment a plant pops out of the soil. Genetics, seed quality, and seed treatments all set crops up for a successful growing season. Here is how each element contributes to the success of Brevant® seeds in the field.
Regardless of yield, emergence and stand establishment is and has been a key characteristic for how Brevant® seeds selects and advances products. This has been a major priority in genetic selection going back decades. It has been known in the industry and is showing up more than ever.
The Precision Stress Test (PST) is a Corteva Agriscience proprietary germination test designed to mimic the stresses of cold wet planting conditions in the lab. It has been used on every seed lot for nearly two decades and has a strong positive correlation to in-field emergence under stress. Even when we have strong warm germination scores, PST allows us to understand lot quality for less-than-ideal conditions.
Corteva’s industry leading LumiGEN® Seed Treatments provide a unique combination of the most effective insecticides, fungicides, nematicides, and biologicals on every unit. No compromises whatsoever.
